Young Lee, Country Manager
When she learned about Taboola, the world’s leader in powering recommendations for the open web, Young knew that she had to bring it to Korea. At first, no one believed in her vision; the publishers, the advertisers, and even the Chief Revenue Office at Taboola doubted her ambition. Why would anyone want to bring a new AdTech platform to the open web, a relatively small vertical, in Korea?
Learning from the failures of other AdTech companies, she applied her strategic smarts in balancing short-term focus on publisher yields with a long-term focus on building joint business successes with publishers and advertisers. She also brought on a winning team of women to help her succeed.
Today, she is Taboola’s Country Manager in Korea, the only female Country Manager in the APAC region. During her career with Taboola, she has signed on many top-tier publications and big-name advertisers, which Taboola has greatly benefited from.
Jaclyn Hadida, Sales Director
Jaclyn’s overarching beliefs are centered around the power of communication. She has an intimate understanding of people and how to serve them as a leader.
With this at her core, her objective set is fundamentally tailored to individuals, their capabilities, and expectations while challenging them and keeping them accountable. Being transparent and inclusive helps the team understand her intentions, learn from her work and gain respect. This ultimately leads to a trusting working environment.
Determination, focus, and clear goals are Jaclyn’s stepping stones to achieving successful business contributions.
Ploy Hassan, SMB Director
Ploy’s journey at Taboola started on the SMB publisher team, and she developed a strong passion for the unit. Ploy stepped in as director and inherited a demotivated and underperforming team. She knew that she needed to empower them, even when she wasn’t around to encourage them herself.
With this belief, she wanted to focus on three things; building a safe environment to encourage trust among her team, understanding her team’s talents, and working to empower them with tools to perform. Lastly, she wants to establish a common goal to drive high performance.
Fast forward, Ploy’s business unit is one of the strongest growth divisions in Taboola APAC.
On Wednesday, June 1st, the winners will be announced. Best of luck to all the nominees, and we’re looking forward to celebrating whoever wins!
