Taboola and InMobi Engage Over One Billion Mobile Consumers in 200 Countries

This year was a tipping point for Taboola, with over half of our revenues now coming from mobile devices. Consumers around the world are spending more time on their smartphones, and in many emerging markets, these smaller screens are the only way that people access the web, presenting both new challenges and opportunities for our publisher and brand partners.

While Taboola’s product team has always been focused on creating multi-platform solutions, we’ve also realized the importance of reaching consumers within native mobile app experiences (see our recent work with AP Mobile). Online user behavior varies extensively across the web — depending on context, device type, referral source, and more — and people immersed within mobile apps have proven to be particularly engaged, which makes these partnerships so valuable.

Today, I’m excited to announce that Taboola has teamed up with InMobi, one of the world’s largest mobile advertising platforms. InMobi operates an innovative commerce platform that integrates seamlessly into over 700 native mobile iOS and Android apps, spanning news, information, entertainment, sports, messaging, and more. The platform presents audiences with targeted product recommendations, within the native mobile app environment, providing value to users and enabling mobile developers to better monetize their products.

Now, through our new partnership, we’ll be sharing Taboola’s premium content marketplace with InMobi’s vast network of consumers around the world, spanning over one billion mobile users across 200 countries. This truly is a first-of-its-kind collaboration, bringing together two global discovery-focused companies to engage with mobile consumers on an unprecedented scale.

It’s been incredible to watch InMobi’s sky-rocket growth over the past year, evolving into a major global advertising platform. We’re honored to work with them on bringing discovery to more users around the world, and look forward to seeing where the partnership takes us in the coming months.
